Edmonton’s giant baseball bat is 50 feet long, made of metal, weighs about 2,500 lbs, and is on the side of a major roadway. And did we mention it rotates?! The City has gone so far as to put up a sign reminding visitors that "the baseball bat is not a ride".

Installed in the late 1990s as an Avenue of Champions mascot, and decades later the oversized bat endures. Rumour has it the bat might be moved (logically: to the baseball park) in the near future, but there is also online petition to save the bat.

FYI, Saskatoon now holds the record for largest baseball bat in Canada, but ya know: we tried!
