The Royal Alberta Museum has moved downtown, but the original RAM building and grounds just west of downtown are still there and as amazing as ever. The building’s south facade has huge carved panels reproducing petroglyphs by Niitsítapi (Blackfoot) and their ancestors from Áísínai’pi (Writing-On-Stone) Provincial Park. There’s also a monolithic mid century fountain and a traditional Korean pavilion. Go see them while you can, as they are slated for demolition.
